Aluminium Die Castings
Aluminum die cast parts are increasingly common, especially as electronic products have become lastingly popular. Often used for their heat-conducting properties, common die-cast aluminum parts include heat sinks, LED light housings, auto powertrain parts such as gearbox housings (due to the light weight and strength), valve bodies, and construction and DIY materials.
Aluminum is common, light, strong, recyclable, corrosion resistant, and durable. Add to this possibility to include smooth or textured finishes, and it’s a very versatile material for die-cast parts.
Aluminum die casting uses a steel die into which is injected molten aluminum that hardens into the part and is then ejected, a similar principle to a lot of plastic injection molding. Parts can be both simple or complex and have different finishes, this is because dies can have different cavities and be movable.
